2010 O'side Turkey Trot race information

Open 5K Run/Walk - 8:15 am
Locals Only 5K Run/Walk - 9:25 am
Kids' 1 Mile Runs (9-12) - 10:40 am
Kids' 1 Mile Runs (7-8) - 10:55 am
Kids' 1/4 Mile (6 & under) - 11:10 am (new distance)

The new 5 Mile Run/Walk will start off the race schedule at 7:00 am on Thanksgiving Day. The route will start at the Oceanside Civic Center, then go out along beautiful Oceanside Harbor, before returning to the Civic Center area and dropping down to a finish on The Strand, adjacent the Oceanside Pier. Start/finish The 5K and 5 Mile run/walks start at the Oceanside Civic Center, 330 North Coast Hwy. (Corner of Mission and Coast Hwy.) All races finish on The Strand at adjacent the Oceanside Pier.

  • Kids’ Runs Awards: Top three age division finishers will receive a commemorative award.
Race Expo You can register, or pick up your packet at the Camino Town and Country Shopping Center, 2245 A S. El Camino Real, Oceanside. The expo will feature live entertainment and vendors.

  • There will also be a post race Expo at the Amphitheatre on Race Day, Thursday, November 25, 6:30-11:30 am
Beneficiaries You have the option to donate to Oceanside schools/charities (at no added cost to you) with your entry. Since 2006, this event has raised over $46,000 for Oceanside schools. See details.
Volunteers We are in need of great volunteers at the O’side Turkey Trot! Volunteer opportunities available Tuesday, November 23, Wednesday, November 24, or Thursday, November 25. Team competition Are you expecting a large crowd for Thanksgiving dinner?  Or does your company need a fun way to get in shape? Entertainment Local band Honkys will keep you hopping after your trotting with an original blend of hillbilly-rockabilly with a California beach feel.
